Gigi De Lana receives warm Ilokano welcome at "Himala!"

Singing sensation and internet superstar Gigi de Lana received a warm welcome from the Ilokano crowd last night at the "10th Himala sa Buhangin!" set on the Ilocos Norte Sand Dunes.

Gigi, alongside her band Gigi Vibes, headlined day two of "Himala!" a music and arts festival that highlights the month-long celebration of Ilocos Norte’s provincial fiesta.

Earlier, the performers were involved in a vehicular accident while traveling to Ilocos Norte. Despite this, Gigi still delivered a soulful rendition of a medley of Filipino music.

Her performance was cut short due to her flinching as she tried to pull through. Fans still cheered for the artist as she exited the stage, assisted by local paramedics.

Gigi’s management team expressed their willingness to come back to the province and perform once the singer’s condition improves.

Over the years, "Himala!," an initiative of former Ilocos Norte Governor Imee R. Marcos, has become one of the biggest music and arts festivals in Northern Luzon.

Under Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc’s term, the event has expanded to include co-presenters such as Philippine Airlines, and guests and marketing partners from the Visayas and Mindanao provinces.
